Ever since I've seen the leaks and clips of the new Jurassic World movie before it came in theaters, I have noticed a load of things that someone studying Animal Science (ME) noticed and took note of.  After I have graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science last May, I have planned to watch Jurassic World and do an Animal Scientist's review of it in my blog here: austinsanimalarchives.blogspot…

So much so that I have made an outline of it before it came in theaters.  Then, on June 11th, I saw it and was blown away and in awe of it.  Also, I have noticed things in the movie (from an Animal Scientist's perspective) things I've figured out before and even things that I didn't notice before, but really noticed now.  Then, I watched it two more times and took some more note on it (along with always enjoying it, of course!) and learning about the 'official Jurassic World website' here: www.jurassicworld.com I had begun my review.

It will be a 2-part post.  The first would be an overview of the ethics, morals, and even the dinosaur behavior of the movie.  The second one (perhaps my most favorite part) is evaluating the Jurassic World park as if it was a real place. In evaluating, I mean by evaluating the hypothetical welfare of the dinosaurs.  I will do that by looking at the film and what the website states as information sources of how the dinosaurs in Jurassic World are living.  Then, using what I know and learned about dinosaurs, animal welfare, nutrition, behavior, etc. (from both experience and from college), I would evaluate the animals' living conditions as if they were real animals in a real place.

I was originally going to post it by today or tomorrow (that was the original plan from the first week of June), but things at home and at the vet clinic I currently work at got really crazy (especially at the clinic, since this is the busiest time of the year for it), I was either to pre-occupied or too tired to finish off or appropriately start on the review.

But now that things have calmed down a bit, I am able to keep working on my review and I might be done with it within 1.5 or 2 weeks (earlier, if it's possible).  So, I thought I let you guys know about that or have any ideas about it.  So, stay somewhat tuned for the review when it comes (and I WILL let you guys know when it is posted)
