Now, there are some of you who are asking:

"If God is a loving God, then why did he made Hell?"

There is a reason for it.

Hell was not originally made for us.

It was made for Satan and the angels who follow him.

But we have been tempted and fallen to the point of going there.

Satan was once a beautiful angel, probably the most beautiful around.  He was a twinkle in God's eye and was a angel of light.  He was a magnificent creature, glistening with all the colors of the rainbow as he stood close to the throne of God.

But, that wasn't enough to Satan or Lucifer.

He was not satisfied with what God gave him.  Pride led him to envy, jealousy, hatred, rebellion, and finally to ruin.  He tempted 1/3 of the angels of heaven to join him and try to overthrow God from his throne and become God himself.

For he has said in his heart "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:  I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High."

He wants to be God, even though no one can be God (except for Jesus, but he's a different story).

Also, he wants us to know that without him, there will be chaos.  That we are dependent on God and we should trust him.  So, Satan is here to be a contrast of who God is:

God wants Love, Satan wants Hate.
God loves Free Will, Satan loves sinful desires.
God loves Peace, Satan loves wars.
God loves life, Satan loves death.
etc.

God supports free choice. Although he knew what Lucifer was going to do, he wasn't going to kill him, because if he did, the angels that were goanna side with him would be worshipping God out of fear and that's a big no-no in God's eyes. Also, he wouldn't be supporting free choice if he killed Lucifer for rebelling. In conclusion, we have a choice to live a good life or rebel against God's word. Did Lucifer had t sin? No. did WE have to sin? No. Lucifer rebelled because he wanted to despite the concequences. We sin despite of the consequences.

You may be asking:

"Why did God not destroy there and then?"

This involves God's nature and character and His plan of redemption.

If God hates sin, why didn't he just "zap" him?  Well, if that is how God works and Satan rebelled against him, he would've zapped us.  If I sinned against him, he would've zapped me.  If my pastor did, he zapped him.  And if the human race rebelled against him, he would've zapped all of us.  Like in both Exodus 33:19 and Romans 9:15: "I will have mercy with whom I will have no mercy"

He knows me and what I am going to do before he made Adam and Eve.  If he did worked like a autocratic dictator, he would've zapped me.

He can kill Satan instantly with a word.  But, if he did that, he would have gave support to Satan's jealous charges that He is an autocratic tyrant, not the great lover that he claimed to be.  In order to convince the watching millions of the universe that Satan is wrong, it was essential that the consequences
of his rebellion should be seen and recognized.  It was equally essential that God should reveal throughout this incident that He is indeed love, personified, and eternal.

Satan wants to hurt God.

He can't do it directly, but he can by hurting his creation....

us

Satan tortures us and tempts us to sin so that, in a way, he can get back at God.

This breaks God's heart and justice will be done upon Satan and those who follow him (angel and man alike), for he said that vengeance will be his.

Remember, Hell was originally made for Satan and his angels.

But you are probably wondering:  But why do people go there anyway?

Well, that's because, in a sense, people want to go down there.

Confused?  Where here's this:

Heaven and Hell are like Ying and Yang, light and darkness.

Opposites of each other.

Heaven is paradise, while Hell is torture.

But there's a huge difference between them, much bigger.

Heaven is where God dwells in, while Hell is where God . . . . .

does NOT dwells in.

Hell is the only thing in all of existence that God does not dwell in.

God wants to have a relationship with us and throughout our lifetime, he calls to you and gives you many chances to have a relationship with him.  He's not wanting to claim you as property or money, but as if he is a father wanting his son/daughter back home so that they'll be safe and sound, like in Jesus' parable about the lost sheep (Luke 15:1-7) or the the parable of the lost son (Luke 15:11-32).

If he didn't love you, he would either never sent his son to Earth or never make you at all!

When you sin, it separate you from him, making your relationship with you not so great.

But on that day of judgement, he has to serve justice and since you don't want to be with him, God respects that and sends you to the only place in all of existence where God is not at:

Hell.

So, I ask of you guys to realize that God is not some grumpy old man who condemns you and whatnot, but he loves you and he wants you to be with him for eternity.
This is another thought of mine.
(under "--------", a little something I thought about)

Poncho, how would you describe a relationship with the Lord? I just want to hear your opinion about that. I try really hard, not sure where my mistake might be in this. The Lord is really, really quiet. I can never discern His will from mine or the Devil's. He does not bless the work I try to carry out for him. Thanks.
