"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
John 5:24
================
I opened my eyes and I noticed that I wasn't in my room anymore and I wasn't even in my pajamas either.

I was in some kind of worn-out robes I've seen in Biblical movies and I'm wearing some kind of sandals.  Also, it seems that I am in some kind of alley with old Middle-Eastern texture.  Also, it looks like it is the middle of the day.

As I walk outside of the alley and into the street, I see people just minding their business and all.  Some people were sweeping, tending to lambs, selling fruit, or just walking around.

I walked up to a kid, who was tending to a couple lambs and asked "Excuse me little one, but what city is this?"  Then, I thought that this kid won't understand me.  But the kid just looked at me and replied (either he can speak English or I can now understand Hebrew) "You are in Jerusalem, why?"

I responded "I was just....asking.  Thank you"

"You're welcome." The kid immediately went back to his duties.

I walked away and said to myself "Jerusalem, huh?  Why am I here in the first place?  Why..."

Then, I hear a huge commotion going on down the street.  I see a huge crowd yelling and cursing to someone as if it was to someone in their group.

I turned and see a guy running towards the group.  I ran to him and asked "Hey, was is happening?"

The man quickly replied "A crucifixion is going to happen!"

For those of you who never heard about crucifixion, it's when you get nailed (from below your wrists and on your feet) to a huge cross and you just hang there until you die.

"Who is being crucified?"

"Three men; two thieves!"

"And the third one?"

I don't know!"

After he said that, the man ran towards the group, seemingly to join them.

Curious, I went to the crowd, walked around a few people, and saw this:  Three men are walking with really huge crosses on their shoulders.  They all seem to be struggling and tormented by the group........

....but it was the third man who seems to be struggling the most and the one who was hated the most by the group.  I try to get a better view of the third man, but the crowd proved it difficult.  So, I kept walking through the crazy crowd, who are really wanting this man crucified and dead.

When I got through, I saw something most horrifying, shocking, and (yet) familiar........

I saw a man carrying his cross and he didn't even look human.  He looked like mangled bloody flesh with thorns for a crown and with clothing on.  The cross wasn't sanded, so I can see that he is getting splinters from it.  The Roman soldiers (I can tell from the armour) are whipping him as if he was a stubborn mule or donkey.  The crowd was cursing this man with every word possibly known and they all spat on him.

I can tell by his face, or what might be the face, that he is suffering heavily of this pain and burden, yet he is still walking.

How can one handle such pain?

Who is this man?

Then, I see this woman, maybe around forty or so, was crying out to the man "My son!  My son Jesus!"

That just caught me completely off-guard.  Jesus Christ?  This must be his crucifixion.  But, it is so different than the ones I've seen in the old movies.  In those old movies, the only things that were damaged were the head from the crown of thorns and his wrists and feet from the nails that held him on the cross.

I knew he suffered (or suffering), but I never knew that he suffered THIS much.

This is what he did for my sins?

Even though he could get away from this pain, he takes it anyway?

He loves us that much?

I've always known, but I never knew....

Then, when I snapped into reality, I've noticed that the group already gone to the hill, I ran as fast as I can towards the hill.
--------
As I ran up the hill, I almost ran into a man who was running and crying.

Was he crying because of Jesus?

I didn't have time to answer that question, so I kept running to the top of the hill.

When I got there, the soldiers were taking his clothes off and divided them into four shares.  This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.

"Let's not tear it," they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it."

Then, I looked at the cross and I see the soldiers preparing Jesus to be nailed to the cross.  The positioned his hands and feet on the cross and they get the hammer and nails out.  These were HUGE!  They make a railroad spike look small tacks.

The soldiers set the nails on Jesus' feet and below his wrists, the raise their hammers, and hammered them down on the nails.

I quickly looked away when the hammers made contact and I can hear women crying and men laughing.  As I hear the hammers still hammering down, I get extreme chills down my spine and I just wanted to cry and stop the soldiers. But I knew it won't do good if I stopped all this.  It has to be done.......

When I turned to look, I see that they are raising him (with the cross) up.  There, I see that his whole body was whipped, slashed, spat on, kicked, cut, bleeding, and mangled.  I could even see the whiteness of Jesus' bones, but they are not broken.  I was about to throw-up, but yet I don't.

Instead, I felt some felt something going down on my cheeks, something wet and warm.  I touched my cheeks and I found out they are tears.  I haven't been able to tear with emotion in a long time and I am tearing now.

Then I looked at Jesus again and I see that was screaming "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do!"

He loves us so much that he will ask God to forgive the very people that placed him on that cross in the first place.

Wow, even I might not be able to do that...........

In a few minutes later, I see the two thieves talking to Jesus.  One of them was mocking him and the other one was confessing his sins to Jesus.  When the nice thief asked Jesus to remember him, Jesus replied "Today, you will be with me in paradise."

Then, I see that Jesus saw the woman, I believed to be his mother, and a man, I believe to be his disciple, standing near, whom he loved, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son". Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother".  And from that hour, I knew that he took his mother and the disciple into his family.

It has been nine hours and Jesus shouted with a loud vice "Eli Eli lama sabachthani?"  I later learned that it means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"  I cried even more by the sound of that.

Jesus is our savior and he's dying for all of our sins.  That has to take a lot of love to do that for a world of sinful creatures, the very same people who hanged him on that cross.

He's dying for our sins.

Wow, I thought to myself.........

Later, he said "I thirst."

A soldier soaked a sponge with wine, sticked it on a spear, and gave it to Jesus.  With that being done, I walked towards the cross.

When drank the wine from the sponge, he actually looked straight at me with his eyes and said "It is finished."

Then, he looked at the sky and said "In you hands, I commit my spirit."

With that said, he bowed his head and, by the fact that he is no longer breathing, died.

Then, suddenly, a huge earthquake went all out and the ground shook.  The soldiers took huge hammers and broke the knees of the two thieves.  They were going to break Jesus' knees too, but couldn't.  Instead, the soldier took a spear and stabbed Jesus on the side of his body.  But instead of blood spraying out, water sprayed out.  Yes, ordinary water.  When the spear fell, the soldier wiped his face but sees no blood.  Then, he fell to his knees, with his hands out, face level.

I too fell to my knees at the sight of this.  I wanted to say something but what could I say at a moment like this.

Then, I stood up and words came out of my mouth.  But they weren't words at all, they were lyrics to one of my favorite songs at church and I know that it is perfect for this moment (even though it is centuries too early for it)......

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev'ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow'r of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow'r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand.

-------
Then, I woke up and went to my bible.  I read all the books in the bible that has Jesus' death in it and it's the same as it is in my dream.  I went to my knees and prayed to thank Jesus for dying for my sins and that I will have eternal life with him.
This is fantasy I've thought of in my head, but Jesus was...no, he IS real and he died for us so we can live forever with his father, God.

This video is one of the things that encouraged me to put this idea in place and action>> [link]

Every night, before I went to sleep, I tell the Trinity (God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit) good night, prayed for my loved ones and enemies, and I asked with all my heart his forgiveness and to hang my sins upon that cross.

Enjoy and God Bless. :D :pray: :hug:

P.s: Make sure you share this to your friends and family, messages like this needs to be spread, ya know?

This is such a beautiful piece.. I've never seen Biblical fanfiction written quite like this in my life. How could I have not seen this sooner? This made me well up in tears to know how much Jesus suffered for us.... I think many of us, at one time in our lives, have wondered what it'd be like if we actually saw this sacrificial love taking place in front of our eyes, in that time period, in their clothes, walking the paths they used for towns. Well done on this piece, my friend! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
