Why did God gave us Free Will?

Wasn't Free Will the thing that got us to be deceived by Satan and got kicked out of the Garden of Eden?

Yes

But that's cause we've used it in the wrong way.

Then, why do we have it?

Imagine yourself as a parent with kids.

When your kids are in trouble, do you want them to come to you 'cause they have to . . . .

Or 'cause they want to?

Do you want your children to love you 'cause they have to . . . . .

Or 'cause they want to?

Hmmm, I choose . . . .

WANT TO!!!

That's why God gave us Free Will, so that worship and love him because we want to.

He doesn't want us to be like drones or like mindless machines taking orders,

Only Satan wants that.

That's why Satan hates Free Will, because we can chose to sin or not and whether to follow God or not.

The next time someone tells you that being a Christian is like being a slave with no Free Will, tell him/her that God has gave us more freedom than you think.

God did his part in sending His Son on Earth and preparing a place for you at Heaven.  Jesus did his part in taking on your sins and dying for your salvation.  Now it's your turn to accept it.

Will you use what has given to you to accept was has been offered to you?
