Me and Mark are about climb a huge cliff of a plateau, in the middle of a desert.

Why?

'Cause we heard that there is a beautiful oasis there and there's a beautiful sight up there.

Mark already started climbing and I was about to start climbing.

Then, we heard a voice from behind.

We saw a nice-looking man saying that it's impossible to reach up the path on ourselves and he even offered to take us up there.

Mark, in his usual bull-headed way, said that he can do it and kept climbing on the cliff.

The man asked me to get on his back and let him do the climbing.

I told the man that I might be too heavy for him to carry me.

He just smiled and said that it's okay.

I agreed with him and climbed onto his back.

When he starts climbing, he seriously surprised me.

He climbed up the cliff's face with the greatest of ease.

I said to myself "Spiderman, eat your heart out."

The man laughed at my joke.

Practically not much later, we caught up with Mark . . . .

And he was seriously in trouble, practically on his pinkie.

I told Mark to come on and hop on, the man can take us there.

Mark replied to that by saying that he can do it (even though he can't).

I tried telling him again and he ignored again.

Then, his pinkie gave way.

I screamed and so did Mark.

Suddenly, the man grabbed onto Mark's legs like as if he was light as a feather.

He asked Mark if he can give him a lift.

Mark replied as yes.

Then, we both were on the man's back and the man climbed on.

Mark said the exact same thing I've said earlier and we all laughed.
--------------

Some time later, we made it to the top.

And the oasis was better than I thought.

The water was so pure and the fruit was the sweetest thing we've ever tasted in our lives.

We even played some games with the man and the strangest thing was that he wasn't even tried after what he has been through.

Then, we saw the most beautiful sunset that I've ever seen in all of my life.

That night, we've rested and the man watched over, reassuring us that we are safe.

This is a another spiritual thought of mine.

The man is Jesus and the other characters are you and me. And that oasis is heaven. We can't go to heaven on our own, we need Jesus Christ to take us there.

Enjoy :D

^^; And I'm the burro-headed S-oh-B who has thought time and time again "I'll do it myself" and time and time again I've learned it ain't like that.

Very well thought out. If only we would trust Jesus in the beginning instead of the very last minute when it's "more convenient". Do I believe people can be saved on their death bed? Yes, but look at what their missing out on...

I too believe that you can be saved at the last 5 minutes or 5 seconds (I love to know how someone could pray that fast) before their death, but some aren't that lucky.
But, when you think about it, (and don't try this) if you are saved at the last minute of your death and you die, you go to heaven and never have to be persecuted :D
